Answer
Hello again Tanja!

This would be a lot easier if you just go ahead and write any followup questions to me at: LASKANWLF@aol.com
That way, we won't have to correspond back and forth thru this AllExperts.com website for follow-up questions.  It also allows me a few extra days to work on more detailed answers for you, if needed, without the AllExperts.com group sending me messages that I'm taking too long to answer.  I like to give "personal" service and advice when it's any follow-up questions or answers.  I hope that's ok.

Anyway, I looked over your agenda and it reminds me of a traveling schedule that "I" would personally put together for myself...it's GREAT!

I'd like to suggest a few added places to your agenda:
* If possible, try making an hour or two stop in the town of Palmer when you drive from Anchorage to Denali.  Palmer, Alaska always reminded me of Switzerland...it's very beautiful there! If you don't have time on your way to Denali, then make sure you stop there while visiting the Matanuska Valley (that's where Palmer is).  About 10-15 miles west of Palmer, there is a gorgeous glacier called "Matanuska Glacier"...make sure your camera is loaded and ready for this one!  =)
* When you leave Fairbanks and head towards Tok, you will drive by an Air Force base off to your left on the Richardson Highway -- you don't have to stop, but just take a quick glance at it, because that is where I used to work and live Tanja.  I spent almost 4 years there and loved every minute of it.
* You listed Seward twice by the way, but outside Seward, you have to stop at "Exit Glacier"...you'll be able to walk right up to it and touch it!

That's about all for now.  I hope I helped fine-tune your travel plans a little more.  Now, if you have any more questions for me, please feel free to just e-mail at LASKANWLF@aol.com and I will write you right back, ok?  Thanks and take care!

Expertise

I am very knowledgable and experienced on where to go and what to do in ALASKA. I spent 3 years hiking and doing my wildlife and scenic photography there and can offer a multitude of traveling advice (and helpful hints) while in or traveling to Alaska.

Experience

I have traveled all over Alaska, including the end of the Aleutian Island chain, driven on every single named highway in and around Alaska (except one), climbed and camped out on Gulkana Glacier, and fished for halibut in Prince William Sound. I spent my finest hours photographing caribou, moose, grizzly, and bald eagles.
