Question
Hi, can't figure out how to solve for X.

a(x+c)=bx+d  thanks

Answer
Hello Jen,

a(x+c)=bx+d, now distribute...
ax+ac=bx+d, subtract bx from both sides to get
ax-bx+ac=d, now subtract ac from both sides
ax-bx=d-ac, now facot 'x' from the left side
x(a-b)=d-ac, now divide by 'a-c'
Thus, x=(d-ac)/(a-b)

OK?
