Question
what is the square root of 108x^4y^6z^9

Answer
take the square root of the terms one at a time then multiply together

108 = 9 x 4 x 3 , so the square root is 3 x 2 x (3)^1/2 = 6 x (3)^1/2

the square root of x^4 is x^2

the square root of y^6 is y^3

the square root of z^9 is z^9/2

Multiply all the separate square roots together and get

(6)(3^1/2 x^2 y^3 z^9/2)
