Question
QUESTION: I dont know why, but im totally stomped on this one.

find the zeroes of the function algebraically.

f(x)= (x^2 -4x -32)/ -7x

ANSWER: That means setting f(x) = 0 so that x^2-4x-32=0=(x-8)(x+4) so
x = 8, -4

QUESTION: 1.find (f/g)(x) f(x)=(x^2 -9x) g(x)= 7-x

2.evaluate the indicated function for f(x)=x^2-2 and g(x)=x+6. (fg)(1)

3.find f(g(x))
f(x)=-x-4, g(x)=x+3

4.Write the quadratic function, f(x)=-x^2+16x-61, in standard form.

ANSWER: 1. (f/g)(x) = (x^2-9x)/(7-x)
2. f(1) = -1, g(1) = 7, (fg)(1) = -7
3. f(g(x)) = -(x+3)-4 = -x-7
4. I don't know what that means

QUESTION: 1. find all ral zeroes of the polynomial f(x)= x^3-4x^2-49x+196 and determine the multiplicity of each.

2.write f(x)=x^3-2x^2-18x-32 in the form f(x)=(x-k)q(x)+r when k=6.

3.if f(x)=-5x^2+2x+1, use synthetic division to evaluate f(-8).

4. if x=3 is a root of x^3+5x^2-9x-45=0, use synthetic division to factor the polynomial completely and list all real solutions of the equation.

5.using factors (x+3) AND (x+2), find the remaining factor(s) of f(x)=x^3+4x^2+x-6 and write the polynomial in fully factored form.

6.consider the function f(x) (7)/((x-4)^2). Find the function's domain and identify any horizontal and vertical asymptotes.

7.Find the zeroes (if any of the rational function f(x)= (100x^2-81)/(10x-9)

8.consider the function f(x)=(2x+7)/(4x^2-49). Find the function's domain and identify any horizontal and vertical asymptotes.

9.Find all x-intercepts for the function y=(7x-3)/(-3x+4).

10. Which of the following is not a solution to the inequality x^2-24 is less than or equal to 0?

11. Find the critical numbers of the expression 4+((6)/(x-3)).

Answer
1. x = 4,7,-7
2. f(x) = (x-6)(x^2+4x+6)+4
3. 305
4. x=3,-3,-5
5. f(x) = (x+3)(x+2)(x-1)
6. I don't do domains
7. x=-9/10
8. f(x) = 1/(2x-7), vertical asymptote at x=7/2
9. x = 3/7
10. you left out possible solutions
11. I don't know what that means
