Question
Tell me EVERY STEP on how to solve Addition Equations (algebra)

Answer
I need to see an equation.
If it is a linear equation, put all of the variables on one side and the constants on the other.
For example, if you had 4 + 5x - 16 + 6x - 3 = 4x - 5 + 4, first combine like terms.
This gives 11x - 15 = 4x - 1.

Now put the x terms on the left by subtracting 4x from both sides.
Also, put the numbers on the right by adding 15 to both sides.
This gives 7x = 14.

Now that we have the variable on one side and the constant on the other,
the last step is to divide by the value in front of the constant.
In this case we have a 7 in front of the x, so 7x/7 = 14/7, which goes to x = 2.

Putting that back in the equation will give 5+10-16-3 = 8-5+4, or 7=7.
