Question
Hello Scott,
I am struggling a lot with a few questions here. Here they are....
I need to use factoring and the Zero Product principle
7X-squared - 5x + 15 = (3(5-X Squared)

and

(7x+12)(x+1-8=(x+3)squared

anything you could do to help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Answer
Is the equation 7x² - 5x + 15 = 3(5-x²)?

That is that same as 7x² - 5x + 15 = 15 - 3x².

Adding 3x² - 15 to both sides gives 10x² - 5x = 0.

This factors into 5x(2x-1) = 0, so 5x = 0 ro 2x-1= 0.

5x = 0 is the same as x = 0.

2x-1=0 is the same as 2x=1, which is that same as x=1/2.
