Question
Richard
are you able to put this on a graph.  I ordered a graph but I don't know how to put functions on it.  If you can show me than I will be able to do.
Thanks

Graph the functions

f(x) = 2^x and f(x) = 3^x

How are they similar? How are they different?

 Practice Problem #2
Graph the function

f(x) = 2^(-x) OR f(x) = (1/2)^x

How does this graph compare to f(x) = 2^x in the first practice problem?

Answer
f(x)=2^x and f(x)=3^x
f(x) is the vertical axis on your graph and x is the horizontal axis. Just put in values for x, calculate f(x) and plot.
For example, for f(x)=2^x, f(0)=1, f(1)=2, f(2)=4, etc.
For f(x) = 2^-x, f(0) = 1, f(1) = 1/2, f(2) = 1/4, etc.
