graphing:
1) y=1/3x-2
2) x=-4
3) 3x-4y=12
4) y>2/3x
5) y=2x-3 & y=-1/2x+1
6) y>3 & y<2x-2
7) y=x^2-4x+3
8) y<2x-4
thank you.
AnswerI presume you have a piece of graph paper. I can't graph for you but you can do it yourself. 1, 2, 3, and 5 are straight lines. It only takes two points to draw a straight line. Just put in a value for x, calculate y, and plot (x,y). Repeat for another value of x and then connect the two points. For example, for (1), two points could be (3,1) and (6,4).
2) This is a vertical line at x=-4.
4) Draw the straight line y = (2/3)x. This function is all the area above the line.
6) y>3 is all the area above the horizontal line y=3. y<2x-2 is all the area below the line
y = 2x-2.
7) This is a parabola. Put in 1,2,3,-1,-2,-3 for x, calculate the corresponding y and plot.
8) This is all the area under the line y=2x-4
I tried to be as helpful as I could since I can't plot graphs for you. You should have been able to work all 8 problems.
