Answer
c is used after money, ie 10c=10cents

1.Represent the ratio as a unit rate. $2.40 for 15 ounces of popcorn
answer: The price per ounce is given by $2.40 divided by 15 ounces, $2.40/15,
whcih is $0.30/ounce = 30c an ounce.

2.$47.25 for 35 disks; answer: Take $47.25 / 35 to get $1.35

3. Which is not a true proportion?
A)4/5=16/25  B)4/5=12/15  C)4/5=40/50  D)4/5=16/20
B involves multiplication by 3/3,
Cinvolves multiplication by 10/10,
D involves multiplication by 4/4,
but A is squaring 4/5, and that's not a true proportion.

4.Three cans of pears cost $2.07, how many tins of pears can you buy for $8.97?
Take 8.97 / 2.07, and round down to the integer less than that.

5.7% of 50 is what?
7% is the same as 0.07.  Take 0.07*50.

6.A 6oz bag of rice has 600cal. How many calories in a 0.5oz serving?
There are 600 is 6oz, so multiply 600 by 0.5/6, which is the same as multiplying 600 by 1/12.

7.A plant food mixture has 1 gallon of water for every 2oz of plant food. At this rate how many gallons of water are required for 25oz of plant food?
