Question
Hi it says to write in exponential form

1. ^3sqrtA

2. ^7sqrtA^2*B^4

and the other question asks the difference between -sqrt4 and sqrt4?

thanks

Answer
1. Usually ^ follows a number.  For example, '2^3' means '2 cubed', or 2*2*2 = 8.
3^4 = 3*3*3*3 = 81.

sqrtA = √A.  When B = √A, B*B = A.

2. ^7 means 'to the seventh'; 2^7 = 2*2*2*2*2*2*2 = 128; 3^7 = 3*3*3*3*3*3*3 = 2,187.
sqrtA^2 = A since sqrt and ^2 are inverses of each other.
sqrtB^4 = B^2, since another way of looking at sqrtB = √B = B^(1/2).

I'm not sure if the ^ was suppose to follow the numbers given or what,
but if you have more questions, right back.
