Question
Martin is paid $200 a week plus a commision of $25 on each television she sells. How many must she sell to make at least $450 this week?

Answer
The amount she is paid is $200 + $25n, where n is the number of television sets.

To make at least $450, we need that function greater than or equal to $200.

That is, 450 >= 200 + 25n.

Subtracting off 200 from both sides gives 250 >= 25n.

Dividing both sides of the equation by 25 gives 10 >= x.

This means the number of TV sets she sells has to be at least 10 per week.
