Question
for clarity ^ is to denote an exponent
the problem is
[4.719 x 10^6]^-4

Its been a long time and I need a quick refresher. That is just the part I'm having problems with. I've tried multiple answers and I just can't seem to get the answer.

Answer
Since the number is in brackets, the entire expression is raised to the-4.
What we get is 1/[(4.719^4)(10^6)^4].
It is known if we multiply 10^6 together 4 times, we get 10^24.

Now 4.719^4 is around 500, which add  more to the power of 10.
A good gues at the answer would be 1/(5x10^26).

To work it out in detail, 4.719^4 = 495.906624, so the answer would be 4.95x10^26.
