Question
Scott bought an ice cream stand for $2,000, and he will spend an extra $200 on plywood for his sign. the monthly rent for the bulding is $150. assume scott can bring in $350 a month, write the equation for the revenue R derived from n months of operation.

Answer
He gets $350 a month.
He pays $150 a month in rent.
Assuming no interest or other charges, the would be $350 - $150 = $200 per mont he could pay.

Since there is $2,000 for the stand and $200 for the sign, that is a total of $2,200.
He has to pay back at this $200 per month, so divide $2,200 by $200 and you get the answer.

2,200 / 200 is the number of months, which is just short of a year.
