Question
how do i find the slope of the equation 6x-3y=30?

Thank you, Meredith

Answer
To find the slope, remember that the equation y = mb + b has m as the slope.
By the way, b is the y-intercept.

Anyway, put the equation in that form.  To do thisl, first eliminate terms on the right that don't have a y in them, and the divide by the coefficient in front of the y.

First, x needs to be on the right, so subtract 6x from both sides.
This gives -3y = -6x + 30.

Now that we need to divide by -3, giving -3y/-3 = -6x/-3 + 30/-3.
Note that -/- = +, so this becomes y = 2x - 10.
