z^2 - 15z/8 - 1/4 = 0

Answer
Multiply the whole equation by 8 to get rid of fractions.
This gives 8zē - 15z - 2 = 0.

Since 2*8 = 16, and -1 from that give 15, the factors are (8z+1)(z-2).
That can be seen to give 8zē - 15z - 2.

To get back to the original problem, we just need to reverse what was done and divide by 8.
This gives (8z+1)(z-2)/8.
