Question
1.) Find a formula for the nth term of the geometric sequence: 500, 100, 20, 4, ...

2.) Find a formula for the nth term of the geometric sequence: 8, 12, 18, 27, ...

3.) Find a formula for the nth term of the geometric sequence: -1, 0.1, -0.01, 0.001, ...

4.) Find the specified term for the geometric sequence: t3 = 12, t6 = 96, t8

5.) Find the specified term for the sequence: t2 = 8, t4 = 72, t1

Answer
This will say how to answer each question.

1.) Each term is the last one divided by 5; 500/5=10; 100/5=20; 20/5=4; etc.
2.) Each term is the last one times 3/2; 8(3/2) = 12; 12(3/2) = 18; etc.
3.) Each term is the last one times -0.1
4.) Now t6 is 8 times t3, and that is 3 elements away;
if we took t3*2= t4, t4*2=t5; t5*2=t6, then t6 = 8*t3
so each element is *2 to get to the next one
5.) t4 = 9*t2, to t3=3*t2; 3*t3=t4; so each element is the last times 3
