2. Jacqui has grades of 73 and 77 on her first two algebra tests. If she wants an average of at least 73, what possible scores can she make on her third test?

3. A manufacturer of bird feeders cuts spacers from a tube that is 13 1/3 inches long. How many spacers can be cut from the tube if each spacer must be 2/3 inch thick?

4.If 2 sweaters cost $24.98, how much would 7 sweaters cost?
Answer1. Multiply the amount of jelly beans needed for each cake by the number of cakes.
Thus, it is (3/4) * 20 = ....
2. Since the 1st test was 73 and the 2nd test was 4 over this, the 3rd test has a minimum of 4 under, so it is 73-4 = ...
3. A. He has 13 1/3 inches. Each spacer is 2/3 of an inech thick. To answer A, it looks like rounding (3/2)*13 would be a good guess. To answer B, multiply the 13 by 3/3, add 1, and that is how many 1/3's he has. Divide by 2 to get the number of spacers.
If they really wany accuracy, the saw blade has a certain width, and so a few microinches should be subtracted. If the number comes out exact, the number of spacers would be one less.
4. If 2 sweaters are 24.98, 1 sweater is 24.98/2 = S. Seven sweaters would then be 7S.
