Question
can you please explain the steps to solving this problem :
-2+5/9m=11/3 and this one too: 5/12-1/2m=2/3m-1/6

Answer
I presume you mean -2+(5/9)m = 11/3
add 2 to each side to get (5/9)m = 11/3 +2 = 17/3
then multiply each side by 9/5 to get m = (17/3)(9/5) = 51/5
5/12 -(1/2)m = (2/3)m -1/6
rearrange to get (2/3)m+(1/2)m = 5/12+1/6
so (7/6)m = 7/12 giving m = 1/2
