Question
if 2x=3y2 then the variation of x with respect to y is....

Answer
Is that 2x = 3y²?

There is no way to determine this value.

If the values in x are (1,2,3,4,5), the variance is 2.5.
The values of y would be 0.816496581, 1.154700538, 1.414213562, 1.632993162, and.1.825741858.
The variance of y is 0.157883481, and when this is divided by the variance of x,
that gives 0.063153392.

If I changed x to (1,2,3,4,7), the variance is 5.3.
This gives y values 0.816496581, 1.154700538, 1.414213562, 1.632993162, and 2.160246899.
The variance of y is 0.256682009, and when this is divided by the variance of x,
that gives 0.048430568

In other words, just by changing one value of x changes the variance by a different factor.
