Question
1.There are various methods of solving quadratic equations.
◦Explain which you think are the easiest and most difficult of the methods, and explain why.
◦Use an example of a quadratic equation and how to solve quadratic equations, with 2 different methods to back up your argument.
2.Explore and find a real-world application of a quadratic equation, whether it is from the realm of physics, finance, or anything else. Write a paragraph about what you find. In your description,
◦show the equation.
◦explain what the variable represents in real terms.
◦describe what the equation models in real terms.

Answer
1. Quadratic equations are done by factoring if it is obvious how to factor them.
They are done with the quadratic equation if it is not so obvious what the factors are.

2. A real world quadratic equation is the affect of gravity.
The equation is -at^2/2 + vt + d where a is the downward force from gravity, v is the initial velocity at t=0, and d is the original height at t=0.
