Question
Hi richard,
Im Lindsey's step-daughter melissa im 12 years old and and in 7th grade I got a couple of questions to ask you too I figure let my mom take a break. This question I have for you Has an attachment and has to do with the philadelphia truck rental. Heres what it says.
On ONE coordinate grid, plot the charge plans for both rental companies. Use a diffrent color color or symbol to mark each company's plan. Include a title, sub-titles, along the x-and y-axis, and numbers on the graph.
AnswerThe y-axis is cost. It looks like you could make each mark = $100 since you need to go up to 1300.
The x-axis is miles, with each mark being 25.
For both companies you have straight lines. It only takes two points to draw a straight line.
For East Coast, you have (0,0) and (200,950). Use a rule to connect those points and extend it on up to x=300.
For Philly, you have (0,200) and (300,800).
If you need to include all the data points, draw a little circle on the lines for each x value.
You can do that and then send me a copy.
