Question
need help to solve algebra math problem

36x+24=6(6x+4)=

Answer
Note that 36=2*2*3*3 and 24=2*2*2*3, so they both have a 2*2*3 in them, and 2*2*3=12.
Either that, or recognize that 36 is 3 dozen and 24 is 2 dozen, so 1 dozen factors out.
This gives 36x + 24 = 12(3x+2).

The only additional thing that was done was another 2 was factored out of 6x+4,
giving 2(3x+2), and 2*6=12, so we have 12(3x+2).

If prime factors were being looked for, it would be 2*2*3(2x+3).
