Tables
Tables
Hi Scott,

I have a quick question, and I hope you can help. I have an assignment due today, and this is what it says:

"Create and describe a data set including independent and dependent variables (be creative) and a table of the data. Explain how this would best be graphed to accurately present the results of the research (type of graph, axes, and scale limits – minimum and maximum). Submit your table of data and description of how it will be graphed."

Ok, I tried to be "creative" when coming up with my own data, and I need to know if you think the 2 tables of data are good enough? How could I improve, if need be? I have attached the 2 tables. Additionally, I don't have "Excel," and I was wondering if you knew of a good graphing website (a free one) where I could graph this?

Thank you!

Answer
One improvement might be to find two tables that have a touch of relation between them.
An example might be the affect of fuel grade on mileage and the affect the number of miles on the highway on mileage.

Also, are these tables suppose to be close to linear?

Maybe we could look at the amount of water and amount of fertilizer given to plants.
That would create two charts for you.  Note also if too little or too much of either one,
most plants tend to die.
