Question
A large ant 24cm in 3 sec. What was the average speed in meters per hour?

Answer
Multiply 24 cm/sec by (1 in/2.54 cm)(1 ft/12 in)(1 mile/5280 ft)(60 sec/1 min)(60 min/1 hr).
The units come out in miles/hours.

The number is (24)(60)(60)/[(2.54)(5280)].

That comes out to be 9000/1397.

Estimated, that is almost six and a half/

To be more exact, it is 6.442376521.

Maybe that's too exact, so what about 6.4 mph since actually there are only 2 digits of accuracy.
