Question
Can you solve 3x^2-2x+1=0

Answer
This polynomial does not factor , so we must use the quadratic formula to find the roots.

x = (-b +- √ (b^2 - 4ac))/2a

a = 3 ,  b = -2 , c = 1

x = (2 +- √ (4 - 12))/6

x = (2 +- √ (-8))/6

x = (2 +-2i√2)/6

x = (1+-i√2)/3

so x = 1/3 + i√2/3 or x = 1/3 - i√2/3
