Question
i forgot how to solve for X

(x-13/x)=95%

Answer
To start off with, I'll rewrite the problem as I think it should be, and that is (x-13)/x = 0.95.

First, multiply both sides by x.  On the left side, there is an x/x, which is 1.
On the right, 0.95 times x is 0.95x.  This gives x - 13 = 0.95x.

Next, put all of the x values on one side, so subtract x from both sides, giving -13 = 0.95x - x.
Now 0.95x - x = (0.95-1)x = -0.05x, so this is really -13 = -0.05x.

Now -0.05 is -1/20, so multiply both sides by -20, giving 260 = x.
