Hi, Scott. I have a quick question for you. So, my problem says, "Given the bar graph, create a grouped frequency distribution." Ok, so I have done that, although I am not very good with graphs to begin with. In studying the graph, I wound up creating 2 tables, and I was wondering which one you though would be the most correct? Thank you!

Answer
I would use table I.  Due to the fact that time is a real number, putting it between 6 and 7 hours can come right before putting it between 7 and 8 hours.  This is because it is almost impossible to take exactly 7 hours to read.  If it needs to, it could me measured down to the millisecond, and that would put it in one of the two categories.  Almost any number is either less than or greater than an integer.

If it measures out exactly 7 hours, put it in the 7-8 hour category,
since it did take exactly 7 hours.

See, it table 2 were used, what would be done with 7.96 hours?
