Question
I don't know how to solve these problems and my hw is due tomorrow - and it's 8 o'clock!
The first one is:
(4m-9)-(6m+4)

Answer
Note that the (4m-9) is just 4m-9 and that -(6m+4) is -6m-4.  This gives 4m - 9 - 6m - 4.

Grouping the m terms together gives 4m - 6m - 9 - 4.
The m can then be factored out of the first two, giving (4-6)m - 9 - 4.
Since 4-6 = -2, and -9 - 4 = -13, that is -2m - 13.
