Question
3 to 11 paperbacks to hardbound 9240 harbound how many in all

problem set up?

If the ratio is 3 to 11, we need the sum, so 3+11=14.
Now if we take 9240/14, we get 660.
This means we need to multiply 660 by 3 and 11 to get the numbers.
It can be seen that 3*660 = 1980 and 11*660 = 7260.
If we add 1980+7260, the result is 9240, and that's the number we were looking for.
