Question
X-3.75=1/18

Convert 3.75 to a fraction.  Note that 0.25 is 1/4, so 0.75 is 3/4.
The integer 3 is 12/4, so 12/4 + 3/4 = 15/4.

Since we have X - 15/4 = 1/18, add 15/4 to both sides.
This gives X = 15/4 + 1/18.  Since the smallest number divisible by 4 and 18 is 36,

multiply 15/4 by 9/9 and 1/18 by 2/2 and get X = 135/36 + 2/36.

Combining the two numbers gives X = 137/36.

Note that 137 is prime, so that could be the answer.
Then again, 36*3 = 108, and 137 - 108 = 29.

That means the answer could be rewritten as X = 3 29/36.
