Algebra/APR
Expert: Richard J. Raridon - 9/7/2007
QuestionQUESTION: Hi Mr.Raridon,
My question is if I put 5,000 dollars into a bank cd investment for nine months and the APR is 5.25 percent locked, how much will I make during those nine months.
ANSWER: I don't know what you mean by "locked". If the percent is 5.25 for a year, then for 9 months you'd have 3.9375%. Multiply that by $5000 and you get $196.88. If you compounded monthly, you'd get a little more.
What do you mean, "I didn't answer your question"? I answered it based on the information you gave me. You tell me what was wrong. I've answered over 1000 questions for free and have an overall rating of 9.95 so your rating isn't going to affect that much.

QUESTION: All your worried about is your rating it was clear in your words. It was also clear you have answered over a 1000 questions for free making it obvious you feel your knowledge should be rewarded in money. Good Day Sir
AnswerI never expect to be paid. I'm retired and do this because I've done algebra for 60 years and it's fun. I'm just pointing out that I only get a negative rating about every 100-200 questions. By the way, you never did tell you why you thought my answer was wrong.
