do the equaions x+2.4=1.5 and x + 24 = 15 have the same solution? exlplan

I saw your review.  I responded to your question on the same day you asked it, Sept. 29.  I don't know how you can expect a faster response than that.

Hi Jennifer,

1. x + 2.4 = 1.5

subtract 2.4 from both sides.

x = -0.9

2.  x + 24 = 15

subtract 24 from both sides

x = -9

different solutions
