Question
I guess I was looking for something that could help me link the 2 more directly as I will be teaching the 2 subjects.  I'm having a hard time looking for a direct correlation between topics within the 2 subjects.  There just may not be any.

Question -
Can you tell me any (and every) relationships between chemistry and algebra 2?  If you know of any teaching implications, that would be great.  Thanks.

Answer -
Chemistry, like almost everything, requires math.  Algebra would be useful for calculating the quantities for balancing equations and certainly useful in physical chemistry and radiochemistry.

Answer
When you took chemistry didn't you use the ideal gas law, van der Waals's equation, calculate the mass of a molecule, go from Fahrenheit to Celcius?  Those all involve algebra and I just looked at the first two chapters in an old chemistry text that I have.
