QuestionHi. hope you can answer my problem ASAP--before Tuesday morning or tomorrow because Im reviewing for my Final Test.
Here is the exact problem:
You know how to solve the equation x+2=3x-4
algebraically. This equation can also be solved byy graphing the following system of linear equations.
y=x+2
y=3x-4
Challenge: Explain how the system of linear equations is related to the original equation given.
Hope you help me ASAP. Thanks in advance!Good luck!More power to you!
AnswerHi,
The equations represent the left and right hand side of the equality in the first equation. By solving the system of equations, you get the x value that satisfies the equation and the y value represents the numerical value of the first equality when the solution is plugged in. I hope this is what you were looking for.
