Algebra/USING THE ADDITION METHOD

Question
Can you help with the below equations?  I learned to do the addition method but now the x and y variables are in different places than I learned.

1)  3x-2y=1
   4y-6x=-2

2)  3x+4y=3
   -12y-9x=-8

Answer
The order of the variables doesn't matter.
1) multiply the first equation by 2 to get 6x-4y=2.
add that to the 2nd eq. to get 0 = 0 which means you don't have two independent equations and, therefore, no solution.
2) same problem here, no solution.
