Question
name the constant of variation for each equation. then determine the slope of the line that passes through each pair of points. (-1,2)
(0,0) y=-2x

(1,3) (0,0) y=3x

(-2,-3) (0,0) y=3/2x

Answer
Hi,

First of all, the constant of variation is always going to be the number that is attached to the x. In the first problem, it is -2, the second is 3, and the last one is (3/2).  The slope for each pair of points is going to be the same number as the constant of variation associated with it.

Good luck!
