I have to solve the following equation to the nearest 0.1

5-x(cubed) = 2x (squared)

Also, I have to find the range of the following function.....

  f(x)=x+ (2 over x)

-------------------------------------------------
Last,   s(v)=(3v-2 over v+2)   Find s (v+1)

1. re-write it as f(x) = x^3 +2x^2 -5
If a value of x is a solution, f(x) = 0
f(0) = -5
f(1) = -2
f(2) = 11
so there is a solution between x=1 and x=2
f(1.2) = -0.392
f(1.3) = 0.577 so your answer is x=1.3,  the other two solutions are imaginary
2. I don't do ranges
3. s(v) = (3v-2)/(v+2)
so s(v+1) = (3v+1)/(v+3)
