Question
could you please soleve this for me:

1/3x + 17y=43
10x+3/7y=32

i don't know where to start.

Answer
I gather the equations are:
(1/3)x + 17y=43
10x+(3/7)y=32 ....Yes?
If so, then we can solve either by substitution or elimination.
...let's first get rid of the fractions...multiply the first eq. by 3, and the 2nd by 7, to get:
x+51y=129 and
70x+3y=224
From the first one, we get x=129-51y, now substitute
this into the 2nd equation:
70(129-51y)+3y=224

Now solve for Y...then fo x...

Can you finish it from here?
