Question
|-x-a|-a(-x) if a=-3 x=-4
7+3(-4)
 10(-4)=-40
If its not correct please explain step by step Sorry I am no good at math

Answer
Hi,

I'm going to use ABS(x) for |x|.

ABS(-(-4) - (-3)) - (-3)(-(-4))
ABS(4+3) - (-3*4)
7 + 3(4)
Do all multiplication before any additions.
7 + 12
=19

Remember to follow the order of operations.
1.  Parenthesis
2.  Exponents
3.  Multiplication/division
4.  Addition/Subtraction

Let me know if you have any questions.
