Question
6x squared + 14x + 4

Answer
Hi,

With these types of problems, I usually use some trial and error, along with some experience.

Let's start with;

(2x +    )(3x +   )

This gives us the 6x^2 for the first term.

Now, the last terms need to multiply to equal 4, so let's use 4 and 1.

(2x + 4)(3x + 1)

when we multiply it out, we get

(6x^2 + 14x + 1)

With a little practice, you will become faster at factoring these problems.
