Question
how do i solve 3/7=3t/4+1 and the library closes in 15 minutes and the answer is supposed to be -16/21 accordind to the book but i can not it it to equal that

Answer
Hi Selina,

It looks like the allexperts website was having some troubles because I just received your question.

3/7=3t/4+1

subtract 1 from both sides to isolate the t term

-4/7 = 3t/4

multiply both sides by 4 to get rid of the 4 in the denominator

-16/7 = 3t

divide both sides by 3 to isolate t

-16/21 = t

Let me know if you have any questions.
