Question
given f(t)=(2t-3)^2 find the sum of all values t that satisfy f(t)=3/4.  is the answer o?

Answer
Hello again Tara,

We have: (2t-3)^2=3/4
==> 4t^2-12t+9=3/4
==> 16t^2-48t+36=3
==> 16t^2-48t+33=0
==> t^2-3t+33/16=0

We can solve this to get the two solutions, then add
them...BUT, we know that the sum of the roots is equal
to the negative of the coefficient of "t"...thus, the
sum of the roots is -(-3)=+3

OK?
