Question
Solve the following linear inequalities express answers using interval notation
5+7x/3<2-x/2 I don't exactly know what this means by interval notation

Answer
I don't know what interval notation means either.
You need to use parentheses since there are two ways to interpret your problem.
(5+7x)/3 < (2-x)/2 and 5 +(7x/3) < 2 -(x/2)
I assume you mean the first one.
Multiply both sides by 6 to get 10 +14x < 6 -3x
which leads to 17x < -4 or x < -4/17
