so 20% is 2.05, 15% is 3.05 and 20% is 4.05? I know this is elementary, but due to a recent stroke, i am finding things i did not do routinely, hard to remember and grasp.I need it a little clearer than twice as much oe 3 times as much. Thanks in advance for your help.----

-----Question-----
if 5% is 1.05, what is 20%,15%, and 10%? Thanks
-----Answer-----
10% is twice as much
15% is three times as much
20% is four times as much
-----Answer-----
Twice 1.05 is 2.10
Three times 1.05 is 3.15
Four times 1.05 is 4.20
AnswerI just realized that there are two ways to look at what you were asking. 1.05 is 5% of 21 so 2.10 is 10% of 21, etc.
However, if you're talking about a markup, for example, or a tax rate, then a 5% markup on $1.00 is $1.05, a 10% markup is $1.10, etc.
