Question
Bobby,
My problem states this.
Patti needs at least a 70 to pass her grade. Right now she has a 49.58 in her class. She takes a test that has 50 questions that is worth 25 points and scores 64 % on the test. What is her score.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Answer
Hi Angela,

I'm not sure exactly what the question is asking.  I'll assume that she has 49.58 points in her class, and that she could get 25 points more if she got a 100% on this test.  Since she got a 64%, that means she got

25*0.64 = 16 points

Since she already had 49.58 points, she now has

16 + 49.58 = 65.58 points

That is not enough to pass her grade.  Let me know if you have any questions.
