Question
-x^+4x-1=0    &    m^=2/3m+4/9

^=square
/=franction

Answer
You can write them -x^2 +4x -1 = 0 and m^2 = (2/3)m +4/9
1. re-write it x^2 -4x +1 = 0
add 3 to each side to get x^2 -4x +4 = 3
(x-2)^2 = 3 so x-2 = +/- 3^1/2 or x = 2 +/- 3^1/2
2. m^2 -(2/3)m -4/9 = 0
add 5/9 to each side to get m^2 -(2/3)m +1/9 = 5/9
(m-1/3)^2 = 5/9 so m-1/3 = +/- (1/3)5^1/2
or x = 1/3 +/- (1/3)5^1/2
