x+y=6
x-y=2

Answer
These are both straight lines.  It only takes two points to plot a straight line.  So for x+y=6 you could use (0,6) and (6,0).  For x-y=2, you could use (6,4) and (2,0) or any other of the infinite combinations.  Draw the lines and see where they cross.
