How do I solve this problem


2x-y=3
2x+y=5

I can't find any examples to use or go by. Do you have any mathwebsite(s) you could recomend. My daughter is preparing take some math to complete her twelve grde class.

This is about 8th grade algebra.
There are two ways to solve equations like this.  
You can re-write the first equation to be y = 2x-3.
Then substitute that into the second equation to get
2x +2x-3 = 5
so 4x = 8, x = 2 and therefore, y = 1
In this case, you can just add the two equations together to get 4x = 8
