Question
What is the line of these equations:

1)slope of 3 and y-intercept of -4
2)slope of 1/2 and x-intercept of 4
3)vertical line through the point (9,6)
4)passing through (-1,15) and (2,6)
5)parallel to y=3/4x+2and goes through (-1,40

6) If the point(4,y) is a solution to the equation 3x-5y=7, what is the vaule of y?

Answer
The standard equation for a line is y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.
1) y = 3x-4
2) y = x/2 +2
3) x=9
4) 15 = -m+b and 6 = 2m+b so m=-3 and b=12
y = -3x+12
5) I assume you mean (-1,4)
y = (3/4)x +b
4 = (3/4)(-1)+b so b =19/4 and the equation is y=(3/4)x+19/4
6) 3(4)-5y = 7 so y = 1
