Question
What is your ultimate interpretation of the lyrics to the song would? Also, is is true that rooster is a song about one of the bands members father whose was a sniper in Vietnam?

Answer
Hi Eric Would? is a tribute to the first singer of Mother Lovebone Andy Wood. Eddie Vedder took the singer's position later on, when they changed to Pearl Jam. Would? is a song asking people not to judge others because they have an addiction, saying were just like you. Remember the end of the song when it goes Would? Could? You?

As for Rooster yes it's a song Jerry wrote after finally his Dad opened up about being in the Vietnam war. They used to call him Rooster and he even is in the video with Jerry and the band talking about those experiences.

Expertise

I can answer most questions, when it comes to general info about the band. I`m a big fan of the music and have read quite a bit of info on them and the late Layne Staley.

Experience

My experience in this area comes from a love for the band, and everything about them. I also have worked in radio as an announcer for almost ten years. So I bring with me just a more than average knowledge of music especially my favorite "Alice in Chains".

Publications
I do music research for the radio station I work at in Canada. So nothing I have done has appeared in any publications but on the station it does all the time.
